PackAI 2.0.x

When starting the software for the first time, each user needs to do the file paths setup for himself. Storing the settings in the user profile, we are able to roam the user profile through different devices and achieve one time seamless setup without the need of redoing the settings when you switch the device.

The file paths are handling different types of data described in this article.

  • Import Data Path - part list data generated from external system. When new files are stored in this folder, they are being processed and imported in the database
  • Archive Data File Path - after successfully importing the data, the import data files are being moved to an archive folder
  • Error Data File Path - if there are any problems during the import process, the data files will be stored here
  • Batch CSV File - ERP, MES and other branch specialized external systems are reading the export including the part and packing information for further processing
  • XML Rule - XML ruleset file location defining the part grouping logic. Only file can be selected per system
  • Import Data File Extension - in case of different file formats of the imported data, the user can define the file format to search for in the provided Import Data file path
  • Import Data Delimiter - determinates the symbol, used to separate the entries in the data file
  • Header Rows Count - defines the number of top rows, that do not contain any entries
  • Logging Off/On- disables/enables logging
  • Logging Level - specifies the information, included in the logging file
  • Log File Path - the location of the logging file
  • Optimization Log File - in case of optimization logging (the feature needs to be additionally activated, by default turned off and only used for detailed analysis) the optimization stores a logging file in this folder

Note: all file paths are defined per user and each user needs to do the setup for himself. The user configuration import/export feature will ease you in the process.
